True Inspiration

Today I was thinking about how I spent a long, LONG time in a career that I found no happiness or joy. I was good at it…accounting, finance, bookkeeping…but I knew in my heart it just wasn’t what I wanted to spend the rest of my life doing. 

One day, during a lunch break, I went onto Youtube and stumbled across this trailer for the WoW expansion ” Wrath of the Lich King”…

…and INSTANTLY knew what it was that I wanted to do for the rest of my working career. In an instant, watching that cinematic trailer for a video game gave me the inspiration to pursue a career in 3D modeling and animation. I wanted to make cool stuff like that! I wanted a career that was fun and exciting! It forever changed the course of my life.

So…keep an eye out for what really excites you…it could be your true calling. 😉

Tough Week for Development

Hey guys. 

This past week has been pretty rough on the creative side for me personally. I did manage to model a new weapon in preparation for our playable demo currently in development. Other than that, though…my brain has just been fried. Being pretty much the sole developer since March of this year has taken a toll on me I think. I’m really glad to finally have some real quality people on the team with me now. Perhaps I won’t need to think until I bleed out of my ears…lol. Here’s hoping anyways!

First voice actor auditions…check!

Hey. Yesterday was pretty cool. I got to speak with the first voice actor for the game. She is a very talented actress from Great Britain. And, to my surprise, is not a fan of Doctor Who. 😉
